A Busy Week for JLN: Heat Pump Talks, Training Recognition and EngTech

Here’s what we’ve been up to.

Talking heat pumps at Grand Designs

We spent three days at Grand Designs at the NEC in Birmingham on the Vaillant × Heat Geek Design Studio stand. James also made two stage appearances to talk about heat pumps with TV’s Max McMurdo.

It was a chance to share our practical experience and talk about a subject that’s an important part of our work here at JLN. Choosing a heating system is a big decision for any household, and we welcome opportunities to help people understand heat pumps before taking that next step.

Helping Heat Geek deliver award-winning training

We helped Heat Geek produce a training course, so we were delighted to celebrate its recognition at the HVR Awards for best training provider.

We’re proud to have contributed to that work. Sharing practical knowledge with other installers matters to us, and it was good to see the training receive recognition within the heating industry.

Visiting Danfoss in Denmark

James travelled to the Danfoss factory in Denmark as part of the winners’ prize for the Heating Installer Awards.

During the visit, we helped officially open Danfoss’s new ‘Seeing is believing’ product history wall. The trip was an opportunity to spend time with the manufacturer and see the history behind its products.

Engineering Technician status for James

James also gained internationally recognised Engineering Technician registration, known as EngTech, with the Engineering Council.

It’s a personal achievement we’re pleased to celebrate at JLN. His certificate confirms registration through the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, and he can now use EngTech after his name.

All in a week’s work! We’re proud of James and pleased to share these moments with our customers.
